Lynn Redgrave (Actor)
Bio: The daughter of celebrated British actor Michael Redgrave and sister of Oscar-winner Vanessa, Lynn Redgrave was born March 8, 1943, in London. Her professional acting debut came in 1962 in a stage production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and she made her big-screen debut the following year in the risque Tom Jones.In 1966, Redgrave gained international attention when she starred as the pudgy heroine in Georgy Girl, a part for which she collected a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar nod. Other film work in her early repertoire includes Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex (1972) and the title role in 1975's The Happy Hooker.
Redgrave played a key role in the 1978 TV miniseries "Centennial" and moved to series television in 1981 opposite Wayne Rogers in "House Calls." Among her later notable movies are Shine (1996) and 1998's Gods and Monsters, which netted her another Golden Globe.
